Marchesa SS RTW 2011
Marchesa never fails to impress me. You can always expect their collections to be consistant. A lot have you have probably noticed the 90's trend going on. Bold, Blunt colors. Futuristic grays, silvers and sharp, hard shapes. I hate it all.
I love 90's grundge and chunky platforms but i hate the other part of 90's fashion that i had explained. What i love about this collection was that it was one of the few that didn't take that route. They stuck to their same shapes, drapage, and colors that look good on just about anyone. For their next collection i would love to see them incorporate a little edge to their clothing. If they could do that and still come out with an amazing collection then they are unstoppable.

Alexander McQueen SS RTW 2011 (very long post!)
There's not much to worry about for us die hard Mcqueen fans. With the unfortunate passing of Alexander Mcqueen a new head designer had to emerge. Sarah Burton has taken over the brand and THANK GOD, because of her the Mcqueen aesthetics has not died. She had been working beside Mcqueen for 15 years, and with that comes a rare knowledge of the brand. The collection was beautiful. Ever since the SS 2010 collection seemed to mark the start of the look inside Mcqueens mind as if it was a world of its own. His fall 2010 collection introduced the worlds elite as if they were queens and goddesses. The past SS collection represented the sea and this SS collection represented the air and land. This collection included the worlds military unit, its land dwellers and those of the air.
Some of these pictures don't give the clothing much justice so i'll probably make another post of the details.

resort 2011: Marchesa
Marchesa has always been one of my favorite lines. I think i first fell in love with them after seeing their Spring 09 rtw collection. They have this way of turning textiles and patterns into elegant gowns.
This collection gives me the same aesthetics that i love them for with traces of ancient greek flapper in the mix; however that works lol.

OCD: Nina Sky
For the past month or so i been going OFF to nina sky's new EP "the other side" in my car. I could not believe this was the same girls from back in 04. Supposedly they broke away from their label and are working independently which i think is one of the best moves they ever made. Their look did a complete 180. In my opinion it was always in them but it seems like due to label issues they weren't able to "do them." (what do i kno)
So right now i'm keepin my eyes open to see if they are going to do in a show in Atlanta which i think is greatly needed.
I LOVE THESE GIRLS...

briiiitttt
Takashi murakami and Todd Cole teamed up for pop mags Britney cover. I love brit brit, slander and all. Not sure whats the update on her career; such as if she is working on a new album but i sure hope she is. It's funny because when i think of Britney Spears i DO NOT think of Takashi Murakami. A lot have been complaining that this cover looks cheap, and the styling for brit was a dud but i like it. I don't think the people that produced it wanted people to take it too seriously. Walking along the lines get old, but cheap, trashy, grungy, manga, murakami; sounds like a nice mix to me :D

Vintage: 1994 Chanel ads
It's very odd seeing a black Chanel model, due to the fact that it RARELY happens. Not to get political; but i don't really hear people talk much about it. I still adore chanel though :( #lovehate

Bows & Arrow!
I love supporting up and coming designers from everywhere especially Atlanta. Bows & arrow is an accessory line created/designed by atlanta based Lindsey [@TattooedBarbie]. These adorable bows are original designes and hand made so expect to see uniqueness in each one.
I love bows; they are perfect for softening hard edgy looks while upping a notch of girlyness to them.
The price of the bows range from $10-20 and after this collection they plan on releasing at least one new bow every week before their fall collection.

Givenchy=Royalty: Givenchy Couture Fall 2010
Bump purple. Barney is Purple
Givency stepped couture UP with this collection. Lord knows how bad i want to hold one of those garments in my hands; there are no words to describe how that would feel. The collection was short; exactly how one like this should be. You want more. This is ART; not a confusing, overly executed "project." (like their fall 2010 RTW collection; cough cough)
These ideas had to have been as clear as water; the presentation is perfect.

Fall Couture 2010: Christian Dior
John Galliano definitely took me by surprise with this collection with colors a lot bolder than usual. I loved the colors, designs, and cohesiveness of the collection. Each piece reminded me of a fresh bouquet of flowers and went well with the set. It's a "nice" collection.

Trends and Fads i'm tired of seeing chronicles#1
The super edgy, i'm not emo but i dress emo look. It's annoying. Not every photoshoot or client has to have this "look" to move interest.
annnoooooyyyyyyinnng.
people i can bare doing it for now: rhi, amber, grace, gaga and those coco&breezy twins (love them). If not, hang up the studs and spikes and let it go. please.

I love this girl. i really think her and i are soul sisters... she just doesnt kno it yet.(eek) ... Anybody that can walk around in a dragon costume with no care is cool in my book.
Giia Neckpieces & Accessories :
I have never seen neck pieces like these before. I ran across one on Lookbook.nu and digged a little to see where they were coming from. They are made by fashion blogger/designer Giia by hand/to order with styles available in many different colors. These would be the perfect solution to sprucing up bland outfits without taking the traditional silver or gold route. I LOVE these.
