Video: Esthero: Superheroes Live @ Calgary Folk Fest 2009
Esthero has one of the most soulful and peaceful voices i have ever heard. I don't think i will ever get tired of hearing this song. It calms my nerves and puts me to sleep like a baby! I would love to see her and Common do a track together. Both of their music brings forth very interesting, yet sensual emotions; a distinct quality of good music. The way an Artist makes another person feel as a result is VITAL. Makes you question yourself about what you've been listening to huh ....?

Archive: Vogue December 1991: Beverly Peele "Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs"
In 1991 photographer, Bruce Weber shot a spread for US Vogue featuring 90's supermodel Beverly Peele with Another Bad Creation, LL Cool J and Aretha Franklin. I love when photographers aren't afraid to mix things together that people wouldnt expect. The story behind it is great and the idea to incoporate Another Bad Creation in it is was cute, but am I the only one that thinks its kind of wierd that she's in bed naked with those little boys? lol

Temperley London Spring 2010 Zoetrope
Designer, Alice Temperley took a very classic yet innovated route to showcase her Spring/Summer 2010 collection this year at fashion week. She teamed up with Milk Studios where they came up with the idea to showcase her pieces in a Zoetrope. A Zoetrope is a cylindar device that creates the illusion of movement from a series of still pictures. The Zoetrope took a month to build and resulted in a 12 foot cylinder that included 15 looks. The zoetrope was the centerpiece of the show, sitting in the middle of a white cyc with its projection against the opposite wall.

Jeff Soto

"Through striking visual imagery, Jeff Soto communicates profound visions and fears, nostalgia of his youth, and themes of love, lust, and hope. Soto’s distinct color palette, subject matter, technique and bold themes resonate with a growing audience. Inspired by childhood toys, the colorful lifestyle of skateboarding and graffiti, hip-hop and popular culture, Soto’s representational work is simultaneously accessible and stimulating.
Environmental issues also take precedent for Soto, who is concerned with conflict of humans trying to harness, or take advantage of nature. His paintings exude this tension, as robotic creatures duel, organic tentacles and flower bouquets thrive, and black smog looms amidst floating, ominous skulls."
