Missing

I was snooping around some forums and saw that a lot of the older folks in the fashion industry aren't too welcome to 13 year old Tavi Gevinson. I dont really understand why. Maby it's a old hag thing. Tavi is bringing something that is not new, but is vital and absent today in "the fashion world"; individuality.

I grabbed these photos from her blog Style Rookie. They were taken by Autumn DeWilde at the Rodarte studio in New York.

Clip: Chanel SS10 Show Spy Cam

I died when that girl walked out. I normally don't like to get too much behind the scene peaks because it takes away the mystery behind a collection/show. Sorta like the love/hate relationship between a actual music "artist" and their love for music. Mystery is what keeps us as human beings driven. But I actually enjoyed this clip and it was a very clever idea. I am a big fan of Chanel and Karl but this collection didnt give me what i wanted. I think it was the chunky clogs that thew me off. They weren't flattering to the garments. But I did love the all white flower petel shoes and ofcourse, the classic Chanel suits and accesories.

SS10 RTW: Louis Vuitton Pt 1/2

This was definatly one of my favorite collections because i can see myself wearing almost all these garments, minus the shoes. Im not sure if it is what Marc Jacobs intended but i felt a influence of Takashi Murakami. It was like Harajuku dolls meet the west. The bags were definatly on point. They chose the right colors for those bags. If they were done in any other color the bags to me would look tackey.

What do you think about this collection?
